A lot of people say that Holsteins metabolize the implants quicker than beef cattle so you should figure approximately half the time on those long implants. I think you would see a benefit from an additional implant, maybe an IS once or twice in between the encore and ralgro. We have been buying light Holsteins, around 300#, and they get an implant every 90-110 days depending on my projected feeding period. We have a couple yards that don't have a working area so we rent a portable tub and chute from our vet, not sure if that is an option in your area.......
