| So much depends on the quality of material, batting and backing. Time, that is a joke as a person making them spend so much time the per hour is hard to get paid enough. We just went through this with our insurance company as I had made my son a quilt and it burned up in the fire. They only wanted to give him $280 for it and I told them that was a slap in the face. I told them material alone could run up to $400 and then my labor. Dave researched Amish quilt go for $800 to $1200, so the insurance gave him $1000. I thought that was fair. Hoping after my next hand surgery I will be able to make him another one. | |
