So. IL | A lot of this was brought on by the mfgs themselfs. The original owners were rolling new combines way too cheep, and were not facing real depreciation numbers. The mfg and dealer loved this, they both sold machines, the farmer loved it because ha ran a new combine every year for very little. This all worked as long as there was a sucker buyer number 2 for all machines. Now that that buyer is gone from the market, the lots are full of late model machines, and that brings us to today's mess.
