Have you tried uninstalling and running the installer (if there is one) as an administrator in XP compatibility mode?Just running the executable in XP mode may not be enough. Here's what I found about this program: To make it work, simply right click the installer/executable and select Properties > Compatibility > Windows XP. After this operation, right click again on file and choose Run as Administrator and follow the instructions. Every time you start the application it needs to run as Administrator. If the program does not use standard file formats such as CSV (comma separated) files, there may be an option where you can export your data into such a file format that you can read with any modern software like Microsoft or Libre Office. At worst, you can run Virtual server or some other virtualization platform (maybe not on the Home edition of Windows 8), and install a virtual copy of Windows XP where you can still run your old program. You can also hire a kid to enter last year's data in your new replacement app, so you still have the past and current year of data in the new app. |
