Subject: RE: Water leak under slab

Texas
We had a water leak under our slab last year. Had to pull up carpet and jackhammer a hole to fix it. Cost around 2k if I remember correctly. Thought it was a fluke. Had another one on the opposite side of the house a few months ago. Instead of repairing and waiting for the next leak to develop we opted to go overhead with pex. The plumbers did an awesome job and every faucet / fixture in the house has a dedicated line that runs to a manifold by the water heater. We get hot water a lot faster now than we did before. The downside is we had about 25 small 6" or so holes in the Sheetrock where they had to get access that have to be patched up.
