OK...so a couple questions:

1. Why not just do the swathing with the R72 that the draper head is already run with. For most combines I know of its not the engine and drive train that give out it is the separation unit.

2. Is there some inherent reason you believe that this homemade SP grain cart will be more efficient than a tractor with one pulled behind? Are you out of tractors to use that time of the year? IMHO you better be damn good mechanically to make that conversion work as reliably as a design that has been field tested for years. Perhaps you are, I know I am not :-)
