Maybe helpful maybe not, but in an older 8000 I had the same thing and it was a bad connection of the wires to the snowflake switch. Same symptoms you mention. You have climate control, so maybe it's different under there, but surely there are wire connections of some kind. Maybe pulling the plastic cover and checking the connections would be worth while.
