Subject: RE: 1020 cutter bar and A arm bushings

Near Regina, Sask.
I had similar issue last fall. Cutter bar, angle iron and the main beam where the outer bushing for the A frame were all broken off. Pretty sure mine was caused by the wobble box being shot. Had play in the wobble box, it's the open style. I've been working on it the last while was able to weld everything up and reinforced where possible. Replaced bushings as well. Mine lined up pretty closely when I was done so I'm not sure why yours doesn't. You should be able to weld up the cutter bar. I vee'd mine out and welded it up good. I didn't reinforce mine but I think you could lay some thing on the bottom side if necessary. Check your wobble box out closely to make sure it's ok.
