On the end user side consider that corn in feed rations changes percentage drastically with price. Switching between alternatives and straight corn/soy for pigs is almost a daily thing. Corn and soybean meal tends to be the best feed program, so if it gets cheap enough there is plenty of demand. Once it cross a cost threshold, demand goes away pretty fast.
No life left in old crop, don't be so sure.
