east central nebraska | Thud-This is planted at 32,000-33,000, very wet this year, have springs running that have keep ground wet in spots so I'm sure roots are very shallow. This area of field is very productive thus the higher population for this area. Normal dryland populations would be 25,000-32,000 I'm guessing. Unusual to have corn fall over in this fashion. If weather allows crops to finish with out any complications (big if ) we should have an outstanding corn crop. ;) | |
