I'm not in SA, about 2.5 hrs NE. But, you'll need to take a roadtrip on US90 west of San Antone toward castroville, Hondo, Uvalde. You can see a good variety of crops. Cotton is probably getting close, corn harvest may be done or wrapping up by the time you get here. Some fall corn maybe being planted. Veggie crops, sesame, etc.


For a side excursion while you are driving toward Uvalde on a farm tour, you need to check out the frio river between Concan and Leakey. You'll be about 90 miles from SA, but it's well worth it and you'll be close enough to see a south Texas oasis.
