With the way that the cattle market has been the last 2 years, here, verses the previous 11 years, I have changed my way of thinking. Well not just thinking, but doing too, changing my management as well. I figure that instead of pulling the bulls & culling out an open cow, better to have a late calf than no calf at all. These late calves aren't going to fit in with the rest of my program here & don't want to create extra work for myself (feeding a few calves separate), so this fall they'll go to market, calves & cows, I guess. I don't want to sell them as pairs now as I've got all kinds of grass here for grazing. Those late calves should fit into somebody's program. 





These 2 that were born last week haven't figured out the shade yet, I guess. They're hiding in the grass.
