The cowboys out west used to take a saddle and put it in a water tank and soak up and ride it on the horse till it dried. Never believed in it till we were riding in the mountains and got caught in an all day rain and my new saddle got soaked. That was 25 years ago and still today that is the best saddle to ride in that in the trailer.
