I really appreciate the amount of and thoughtfulness of the people on this site.  

I will give it a try.  I have the original chute on the mower.  I use a tarp strap to hold it up when I mow the high grass on the road ditch.  I used to have it up all the time but if I hit a rock it sends it flying so far and hits things doing quite a bit of damage.  I put it down when I'm in the yard now to protect the siding on the houses.

I'll put it up again and mow the area's away from the houses and see how it works.
