Subject: Ivy 7 mo working video

south east Indiana
I taped a short work session last week of Ivy working lambs. The pups just turned 7 mo old. They are all really talented working dogs, pups that went to other working homes are doing well also.
Working border collies in Smaller places can be challenging. Some really dont like being that tight or close to stock so I try to expose them a bit as they are ready. Border collies were bred for big open field gathers so it is good for them once they begin to get comfortable working to change things up a bit. This alley isn't real tight but serves to give Ivy a taste of gathering in smaller spaces, going into corners and bringing sheep out and working along a fence. She stays calm and thinks, with that going for her she can will able to figure anything out if given time.
Not using many commands, mostly a stop and start, just letting her good instincts take over and letting the calm group of lambs teach her. They will split if she is fast and pushes to hard and in the wrong place but she has learned how to avoid that for the most part.
