South central, Mn.
I try and cut only when it is as dry as can be, but sometimes along the lower parts of yard the dew stays on almost all day. We have some crab grass in spots and that stuff is juicy no matter when and I can just tell when I go into that crap. The mower is a 3 blader and it builds up around each blade for the most part, and I have all obstacles taken off the deck too. Thought maybe some other brands do a better job and I can see where more hp would be beneficial. Mine has a 23 hp Kawasaki. With the welded deck it has square edges and is HD, but maybe the decks with the formed or molded decks might not hold stick on as much???
