The one thing which you should find painfully obvious in this thread is that age says little about maturity.

We can pretend that a gal who is not married by a set age must have something wrong with her and ignore the fact that the flip side of that coin is just as ugly, probably much more so.

Go for it, feeling honored that she is willing to invest just a little time in a possible friend, maybe a more mature friend than the boys she has been putting up with.  Show her an evening with a gentleman who is fun, self controlled, honest and sincere.  Oh yeah, and FUN.  : )  Go with little other expectations.  It is a chance to wave and smile at a fellow seeker in life's journey as you pass by.  The smiles may cause each of you to want to linger, to ask questions, to find answers.  OR maybe not.  But it is never a waste of time.
 
Don't hurry, neither of you are "ready"; all that is good is worth waiting for, worth preparing for.
