Subject: Powerlift on a JD B-A drill

Warburg, AB
Can't seem to get enough lift, the power lift is working, but seems like the disks are still dragging, even with the cranks turned all the way in so it pushes the rod far enough. do I need to manually move all the rods to the 3rd hole (shortest length)? Can't get enough height to go down the road. Everything looks factory and original. Almost seems like the bars from the powerlift to the crank arm on the shaft aren't long enough. Can't really move them to another hole to gain anything. Am I missing something? The power lift part that rotates is all the way to the back too. I'm kind of stumped, got out of the guys yard (rough, thought I'd be good on the road), and had to drop it in the neighbours lease road. Tires are a tad soft but won't make that much of a difference. What kind of ground clearance should I have?
