Black Hawk County, IA | We run about 60% alfalfa and 5 grasses. Can't seem to get the alfalfa dry enough. Cut Tuesday, tedded Wednesday and temps in the 70's Thursday and Friday, humidity in the 50's and still reading over 20% on the baler this afternoon. Everything is crunchy except stems are still a little tough. 83 degrees, 53% humidity and 10 mph breeze. Perfect 2nd cutting, just pulling hair out trying to baled. Can put preservative on and should be alright, but starting to wonder if rolls would be better to get things dry. Have uncle with rolls in his, may run 1/2 with impeller, and 1/2 with rolls to compare. Only true test I guess. J
