We spray along the edges of a lot of our corn fields with either 2-4D, Crossbow, or a combination of the two . Always seem to have morning glory vines in the first row of corn & spray up the stalks. Been doing this for several years and haven't seen any problems with the corn elbowing. Just keep the spray below the whoral. This year we sprayed all our waterways with either Stinger or Crossbow and haven't seen any corn elbowing. Use to be the only thing we had to spray corn with was 2-4D.

If you want to control weeds in your fields you have to control them in your fence rows & ditches.
