Central IL | Boom size should be determined by your planter size. If you have a 12 row 30" I would go with a 90' boom. It's nice if your always running where the planter tractor ran. If you're going to GPS, I wouldn't spend the money for a foamer or expensive controller. When you get your GPS system, get the components for rate control and swath control. The more sections the better, not just for product savings, but overlap with some chemicals can result in costly carryover issues. There are some very good used sprayers out there. Be patient and find what you want. I'm a Fast dealer so I'm a little partial to them but there are some others that would suit you well. One little bit of advice, if you look at a Hardi sprayer, make sure you have a good dealer close. The parts are brand specific and a little pricey. | |
