Jesup, IA | In the past two weeks I have been from my home around Waterloo, IA across Northern Illinois, then from home to St. Louis, and yesterday across the Western 2/3 of Iowa on Highway 20 (great corn country) to Norfolk/Columbus, Nebraska.
I understand Indiana is a disaster. Lot's of acquaintances sending UGLY picutres. And where it's bad in MO and IL, it is indeed BAD.
But I have to tell you that Western IA looks GOOD, real GOOD. And I understand SE Nebraska is UGLY. But NE Nebraska is very GOOD. Can't say I have ever been through that country in July when they didn't need a good drink. But yesterday they were getting rain that had potential to carry them through pollination.
Don't be me in 2013 when I had to prevent plant. Waiting for the rally. At some point the market zeros you out if you prevent planted, or calculates a much reduced yield if you got to plant, lost your nitrogen, are low on GDU's, etc.
Maybe this was the rally? | |
