Humeston, IA | With the rains we've been having it has been difficult to cut hay. Was planning on cutting these oats for hay, but I'm wondering if I should let them go for grain. Grain is ~1/3 soft dough, ~ 1/3 hard dough, and ~ 1/3 solid.
Cut now or take for grain and straw? About 28 acres, need to hire either baling or harvesting, too. Have logistics to deal with on grain, too (no empty bins).
