I had it last year, but only in susceptible hybrids. I had 4 hybrids and only 1 was affected....but it got hammered. I'd say 10-15% or 30-40 bushel hit.

I'd be in touch with you seed dealer to find out if any of the hybrids you've used are susceptible. Then you can make the decision. (If they don't know or won't tell, you need a new seed dealer)

I think mine got infected about v4 when we had a high wind/hail storm that gave the plant wounds. I wish I would have treated with a fungicide at the time.


30-40 bushel hit on your corn? Which equates to 10-15%?

Holy cow, that's some high yielding corn!
10% of 300 bu is 30 bushel, must be nice to grow that stuff!

Assuming you meant 10-15% of that one hybrid got hit? And not a 10-15% loss, which you then list at 30-40 bushel. If so, I'd take the hit and still grow my 270+ bushels per acre!
