How good do you think you are at sourcing cattle? Better than the competition around you? There are some big players in the sale barn business that vertically integrate their barn with large Dairies & their own feedlots. They keep their numbers up with internally owned livestock, and volume is a magnet to buyers and sellers.

I hope you have enough disposable capital available because you will need it. There is a reason sale barns are always for sale. In the banking business the owner always warned that there are 3 businesses that can bust a bank; dealerships, feedlots & sale barns.
