N FLA | Thanks Cole. It can be a tough crowd here and you'll need thick skin and strong nerves to make it in the cattle business. You're $500 is realistic. Sometimes I have more death loss, some less. I was looking at a group of 50 cows I have here now and I think I've lost 6 calves. However I think I've only lost 1 cow. Its losing cows that really hurts.
I bet your banker is proud of you and tells all his banking buddies that he has a beginning rancher that's doing great in the cattle business.
