Dad started paying me when I was 16. Hourly rate slightly better than what I was getting at McDonalds. Been paying me ever since. I'd do it for nothing, but that's how he wants to do it. My uncles used to pay me when we baled hay or shelled corn when I was younger and they needed the help.
