12 gigs of Rams is plenty, and I'm not sure how "cheap" socket b processors are...and seemings how it probably has two sockets you should double the price (figuring four cores and four virtual per physical processor).

The ssd would be a good upgrade.

ETA: If they were my machines I'd probably be hotrodding the CPU's a little bit (my slightly older than your processor "2.4 Ghz" Q6600 has been running over 3Ghz since day one...)
