Subject: 2388 wheat settings


I dont have any of the small wire concaves for wheat. Yes ive looked at OM settings but would like to know what yall run when cutting wheat. Will not having the small wire concaves matter that much? It has the AFX rotor if that matters any. I only cut 25 acres of wheat with it last year so couldnt judge really. Thanks,

You can harvest with your large wire concaves but you should put some coverplates in front part of the concaves. Various aftermarket outfits and I think CIH also sells them. Here is a link to Gordon's site who has coverplates and other stuff for CIH machines.

X2 for cover plates, you can also leave them in for beans and really helps with unthreashed pods. Really easy to pull in and out, 10 min maybe.
