SCMN | Here's the story for you guys, I had a feeder heifer around 650 lbs give birth to a bull calf. mother wouldn't take the first two days so I took matters into my own hands. Took him a couple days to catch on but he got the hang of eating from a bottle. From the beginning I have been feeding him a pint of milk replacer and warm water four times a days starring at 7 am and last feeding at 10 pm. The last couple days his manure has been getting loose and losing some energy. Now today you can see he isn't doing so hot. Hardly ate anything this last meal. the last two days I've been feeding 2 Oz of milk replacer with a pint of warm water 4 times a day. He's a little guy I'd have to guess around 40 lbs. I'm starting to get pretty worried about him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a whole new respect for you guys that do this daily as this is pretty new to me. Thanks again! | |
