So long story short my grandmother had a partial bag of potatoes that got left in the back of pantry on a wood shelf. The problem is that they rotted (really bad) and holy moley does it stink. The bigger problem is that some (juice) came out the holes in the bag and is on the shelf. Now I would just remove shelf but it is bolted in many places and would make a really big project. I am wondering what can I use to clean it up to get rid of the smell. I have tried some vinegar and have tried just some plain ole dawn dish soap. Thanks for any ideas.
