Just because you have vacc. don't think you are out of the woods. If you will notice the cows you have trouble with will be ones that have gone through a lot of stress, maybe got a little thinner or etc. When we had hogs we had to fight lepto all the time. Some dairies even vacc 3 + times a year I have heard. I have also heard that it is one vacc that doesn't provide immunity for as long as others. Lepto vacc in general that is. I think the best thing you can do is vacc heifers early if you keep your own and vacc more than once before you ever breed them. Does this vacc have vibrio in it too? |
