| My normally rock solid mojortk/srk/trimble valve/base station on a 7140 mfd with 9000 hours was giving me fits today. It would vary from straight as a arrow to just deciding to steer full lock one direction and then attempt to recover or just drive off into the sunset. I dinked around with settings that sometimes seem to help and other times not at all.
In the event we are not under planetary attack I'm wondering if I have some other issue (no sun spots either). All the mojo diagnostics seem to check out and the console was able to run the steering fine during the tests. So, I'm looking for some common issue that's not necessarily brand specific:
1. Do trimble valves die/go intermittent?
2. Could I have a steering orbit motor issue? The system has a counterbalance valve that I have never adjusted (came off another magnum).
The oscillation is bad enough that I'm hopeful it's something mechanical/relatively cheap to replace. If it's the mojo and walt can't help, maybe Lance's software can be loaded on it (I thought the mojo console is a linux box).
