Dougherty, IA | Student Loans are the next bubble waiting to pop. Way too many kids coming out of school with debt the size of a mortgage and no job/a wage job that they could have got without the degree.
Agree with the above poster about what a student loan is really used for. When I was in school it wasn't uncommon for a kid to use the student loan for spring break, a bowl trip, ski trip, or a weekend in Vegas. Not to mention all the little living expenses that should have been covered by a part time job that were put on the student loans. Had a few buddies who had school paid for by mom and dad and they still graduated with about $30,000 in student loan debt. | |
