White Fence Farm up in Joliet, Illinois used to be worth the stop. I haven't been that way in years though and I'm not even sure if it's still open. The best fried chicken I've ever eaten was never found in any eating place. That was fried by some of the older farm ladies, contemporaries of my grandma, and all deceased now.
