Subject: Something I noticed in West Texas

West of Broken Bow
While passing through I saw new electrical line towers being installed. Am guessing it was for the wind turbines. None of the towers appeared to be galvanized like are found elsewhere.

Is that just a cost saving measure, because the climate is drier? That was the first thought that came to mind.

Also saw the non galvanized towers in other areas of the panhandle outside of Amarillo. They were older installations.

Made me think of new iron pedestrian bridges in the area that aren't painted.
