Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Dad had a couple of different "Clippers" through the years. Ours were smaller than shown on the video. Dad used to sell seed (Oats & Soybeans) and much of it was cleaned by the Clipper.
While in College (many, many years ago), I would clean soybeans for our own use and for sale during Spring Break. Not as glamours as going to Florida but I needed the money.
One Clipper had a sacking attachment which consisted of a small belt conveyor on which you could hang cloth sacks. It had a flipper that directed the grain to one sack or the other while you switched sacks.
Sometimes we just put a wooden barrel under the sacker and used a pail to move the clean beans to a buyer's flare box. While cleaning out the granary last week I noticed my hash marks on the wall where I tallied the pail count some 50 years ago. My great nephew was helping me and asked whose handwriting was on the wall. I pointed out that some was his great grandfather's, some his grandfather's and some was mine.
