Michigan.
Ear tags laced in the boots, and Gordons permethrin spritzed on the Jeans, shirt, and boonie hat, is the best approach I have found yet.

We had a really heavy Acorn crop last year, so the mice had a population explosion, and the ticks over winter on the Mice.
Our woodlot around the barns and house, is 80's Oaks.

Once I start spraying for Cranberry fruitworm, the Ticks will be gone though. Immidan kills everything.
Until the Bees are done pollinating, it's all about the Permethrin.
