Houston County, GA | I try to pull for you CA guys in class at college. Professor was talking about the water situation saying it's farming a "desert" and what not. I told him it seems like the perfect place to farm as long as you have access to the water. Y'all keep losing farmland every year, not farming much more land per year than you have before even if clearing woods for almonds act vs what you lose to development. The flag on that does not offend me. Farm Bureau is reason we have lower property taxes for our ag and timberland in GA. We have our GATE card (No sales tax for ag) and fighting that EPA waters rule. I will be doing the Young Farmer Discussion meet in a month. | |
