We were living in an older farmhouse on the farmstead. Moved to a 10 yr old earthcontact house 1/2 mile away. one level-no steps, quiet, draft-free, floor heat. My #1 man and his wife moved into my old house. Everyone, especially my wife is quite happy with the move.

The main thing to remember is an empty house deteriorates quite quickly and a remote farmstead is an invitaion to lowlifes.
