Northwest Iowa | Similar problem here( Maytag as well). If you hit the ice\water switch too fast, it starts dispensing ice 24/7. Have had it take off and do that three times. I shut of the water to fill the ice maker and took the ice reservoir out but the stupid motor that dispenses would not quit. To call it annoying is understating. Sounded like an old Oliver 88 transmission in road gear. Repairman came out and thinks the board in back is bad. About $200 so not so bad. Wife says either fix it or get a new one, pronto. I suppose we could say it is the Chinese manufacturers getting back at us. | |
