Great article; can't disagree with any of it. The fundamental question he poses is "when will confidence be lost in Central Banks?" He doesn't talk about special drawing rights much in this article but from what I understand this becomes the last tool in the box once central banks have exhausted money printing; or confidence is lost in money printing.

Wall Street will set this in motion when it realizes there are no more stocks to buy back with the printed money and that demand is not there to use the printed money to expand production. The third option is to sit on the printed money but this does no good either.
