| Farm computer is old and slow, time to upgrade. I have a handful of questions for the computer gurus out there.
1. Is there any computer brand (Dell/HP etc)that stands out above the rest as far as reliability and longevity?
2. Is there any reason to get a desktop model when a person can get a laptop with docking station?
I like the thought of a 2 monitor setup.
3. What kind of things are required to get fast strong WiFi to every building (most steel sided) in a 300-350ft radius in a barnyard?
4. What are some performance specs that would make a good "high horsepower" farm laptop? Want a good one but it doesn't have to be "NASA certified". Looking at possibly installing SMS, QuickBooks, spreadsheet software etc etc. Also possibly something for maintenance records, inventory of grain, fertilizer etc. | |
