Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I will add that I have read some interesting historical books in the past such as "Inside the Third Reich" by Albert Speer (Hitler's architect), "The Gray Fox" (about Robert E. Lee) by David Burke, and the biography of Teddy Roosevelt (don't remember the exact title or the author's name). If you like to read horror stories I suggest "Earth in the Balance" by Al Gore (and I'm not really trying to be funny). If you like material about "The War Between the States/War of Northern Aggression/Civil War, anything by David Burke, Bruce Catton, Jeff Shaara, or Shelby Foote should whet your appetite. If you prefer WWII you might consult Stephen Ambrose or Cornelius Ryan. They are mostly out of print now, but if you can find something by Bill Mauldin or Ernie Pyle it makes for some interesting reading. |
