Just finished the James Herriot series, for the second time although first time was in the 90's.  Now reading a book by James Rollins called "Last Oracle".  I really like Sherlock Holmes books!  Have you read James Brown books: DaVinici Code and others?

The Herriot books are great. I haven't read all of them, but they are good if you want to just read something quick and not get too involved. Sherlock Holmes are the same. I can read a story or two at bedtime and not get engrossed and end up staying up too late! I guess I still like bedtime stories.

I liked the DaVinci code for just a fun read, but I did not like that he has an obvious axe to grind.
