I'm happy for all you guys that are planting away, as for my small operation, I've been trying to work some ground for a week now and it's just still too wet to work it properly... thus, I have nothing planted yet. Some neighbors and some BTOs are going at it strong but I wasn't brought up to fight the ground- if it's too wet---it's too wet, period! Old school here I guess LOL. I admit and know that I'm not the smartest guy around but then I have gotten to where I'm at with hard work and sweat and A whole lot of patience ( which is wearing thin LOL) , the way my dad taught me. Wish he would have been a rich man and left me a fortune so I could play with "old money" LOL. Don't harp on me too bad, there is an LOL at the end of that sentence and I did start out by saying that I'm happy for those of you that are planting :-) Good luck to all and remember, it's not over until the fat lady sings--- or in this case- when it's in the bin !!! try not to worry too much although I know it's hard not to do. I went through it 4 springs in a row. It's not a race and you might be proven correct by waiting. It's only the first of may. We have planted the middle of June before. |
