Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | I thought this little tidbit was interesting: "The region's top buyer Indonesia is expected to import Black Sea wheat to blend with higher quality grain from Australia and North America for flour, traders said." The very low quality French got sold first, now the lower quality Black Sea wheat. It looks like price trumps quality every time. It is interesting that Indian wheat sales seem to be off the table for now but when it suits their purposes traders will trot that threat out in order to talk down the market.
Maybe we should take all that land left over from not growing corn and plant a monster crop of poor quality wheat to dump on the world market at rock bottom prices. The Saudis are trying this "beggar thy neighbor" strategy to drive out competitors from the oil market. |
