Subject: Integra Seed Rate control question

NC KS
I was doing the gear ratio calculations for a new to me planting setup. It occurred to me tonight that it didn't ask me how many cells were in the seed plate. I looked in the manual and it looks like you "calibrate" that.
Can I just tell it how many cells are in the plate or does it try to go off of actual population for rate control?
Shouldn't be a big issue in corn as the numbers should be very close but in milo or soybeans, the monitor doesn't count every seed.
