Doesn't sound like its the case here, but if you write a bunch of smoke and sunshine that's not true, ("Joe is safety focused"... when he's really an accident waiting to happen) and someone hires him/her based on your recommendation, if he/she has an accident at the new job, the new employer can come back on you.
