Subject: Friesen planter bars? Good deal or boat anchor?


just south of Indianapolis		Looking for a 20 in bean planter to pull with a 170 hp 2wd.

Lots of cheaper Whites and Deeres with Friesen bars. Seems like there are a lot of mixed feelings about these things

I heard they improved the bars for planters over the years, especially after the 1780 fiasco.

My question is should I avoid these bars with my tractor? Or are the later bars better?

Why are these planters with these bars so cheap???
